Life, Laughter, Adventure, and the Occasional Murder
You never quite know what you’ll find here. I write about growing up, getting older without necessarily growing up, family, friendship, travel, the Camino, gardens, easy recipes, and whatever else happens to catch my curiosity.
Of course, murder has a way of creeping in.
So pull up a chair and have a look around. Some days we’ll talk about living well, family memories or walking the Camino. Other days we may contemplate poisonous plants and the finer points of fictional homicide.
Life is far too interesting to write about just one thing.
- Life Growing Up — I grew up in the 50s and 60s in a loving but rather strict family. I knew family always came first. Both of my parents have passed on, but my sisters, my brother, and I have remained close. I blog with gentle humour about that life growing up.
- How to be a Happy, Healthy Senior — I spent the first part of my career as an emergency room nurse. After having my children, I became a Certified Poison Information Specialist (CSPI). It was busy, but now I write and run, and I’m healthier and busier than ever. I aim to inspire seniors and give them the tools to live amazing lives once they retire. I love to write about the joys of retirement.
- Walking the Camino de Santiago — I had planned to walk the Camino de Santiago in the spring or fall of 2026. I blogged about the preparations needed to have a successful trip. Unfortunately life got in the way but I do plan to do this walk in the next year or two.
- Quick and Easy Recipes — I enjoy reading about recipes and how they came about, but I like quick, easy recipes with only a few ingredients. They do, however, still need to taste great. One other caveat is that my granddaughters need to be able to do them.
