The following two cozy mystery series have been written but are not yet published. I am still editing, and still enjoying the company of these characters.

Senior Sleuths Series

The first book in the Senior Sleuths series, Crescent Beach, is planned for publication in 2026.

Abbey is not your usual amateur sleuth. She is a bright, active woman in her sixties, recently widowed, and living in a small beachside community where friendships, coffee, and morning walks matter.

After a body is found on the beach, Abbey would rather leave the investigation to the police. But when one of her longtime nursing-school friends becomes a person of interest, Abbey and her friends are pulled into danger together. They have decades of shared history, sharp instincts, and very little interest in being underestimated.

Carolyn Bethell Mystery Series

The Carolyn Bethell Mystery series follows a former Emergency Room nurse and Poison Information Specialist whose curiosity has a habit of leading her toward murder.

In My First Murder, Carolyn is asked for help by Father O’Brien, an old friend who suspects that a death was not natural. The dead man was connected to the Calabrian Mafia in Vancouver, and neither his family nor the local gangs are eager for questions. The police may not be interested in old loyalties, poison, or gangster politics, but Carolyn is. Once she is involved, she cannot turn away.

In My Second Murder, Carolyn and Father O’Brien travel to an old lodge on Vancouver Island, a place Carolyn has visited for years to rest and recharge. But this trip is anything but restful.

A former fiancé from twenty-five years ago has unexpectedly reappeared as the lodge’s new manager. Bad weather delays Carolyn’s husband. Father O’Brien is clearly troubled. And then, on a forest path beside the ocean, Carolyn and Father O’Brien find a body partially covered with leaves. It appears Carolyn’s quiet holiday has other plans.
