I am a senior who, in another life, was a poison information specialist. After retiring, I needed to find out who I was and where I was going. I live near the Canadian-US border and, fortunately, have two beaches I can run to.

We recently added an Australian Shepherd to the family. She is seven or eight years old and is everyone’s favourite. Most importantly, I live with my husband and have children and grandchildren close to us.

I frequently spoke to well-baby clinics and immigrant groups, and as I became older, I also spoke to senior groups. Once I retired, I felt I could reach a wider audience by writing blog posts on Medium, about staying healthy and living a happy, purposeful life as a senior.

I’m happy writing about my life growing up, telling stories about my parents and antics with my friends at nursing school. Even decades later, my friends and I still get up to things.

I have written three cozy mysteries, although they have not been published yet. I recently self-published a book on how to commit murder accurately for crime writers.

I have developed an interest in gardens—not gardening, but gardens. My garden is full of perennials. I am slowly learning about plants and occasionally writing about them.

I am planning on walking one of the Camino de Santiago Compostela routes in Portugal in the fall of 2025 or 2026.

I write a monthly newsletter filled with inspiring stories and lots of valuable tools to stay well and happy. You can subscribe here.

Life is busy and fun. Join me in living our best lives.
